Rancho Mondo - web design

Your web site will be designed by me, Jim Fish. I get some help (graphics, scanning, proof-reading) from my wife Therese, but by and large, I do everything. I'll do the design and layout, the graphics, the HTML coding. I'll upload the site, and maintain the site, making changes as necessary. All the client needs to do is provide the content ... what the site is about.

I also optimize your site for search engine notice and placement. This is commonly known as SEO (or Search Engine Optimization). I can also provide various other marketing and website promotional services (often known as SEM, or Search Engine Marketing).

I've found that most everything I know, of any use, has been self-taught. I have the necessary training in art (studio, history, graphics, design, etc.), and I've been messing with computers since my 1981 Sinclair ZX80. The Rancho Mondo site has been online for about eight years now.

The best way to get a feeling for my web design work is to review some sites I've done. After finishing this web design section, review the rest of the Rancho Mondo site. Each of these sites have similar general needs, but very different specific requirements — and so have varying features. I build bone-headedly simple sites that look good, organize information well, and offer clear and abundant navigation. They perform well with both search engines (you want to be noticed and found) and with your visitors. I believe that if you ask any of my clients about their website (and feel free to do so — contact information is found on the Contact page of each of their sites), that they would all tell you that their site pays for itself many times over.
