Perfect for parts or restoration

As I understand it, there were only about 3,000 long bed, extended cab Toyota pickups made.  If you have one, you will surely appreciate the bargain that this truck is for spare parts alone.

Toyotas are great trucks — rugged, dependable, reliable, economical, strong, and easy to work on.

Back when I wasn't looking to sell this truck I was asked weekly if I wanted to sell it — mainly from two groups of folks.  The first group were bikers, because apparently there are few economical small trucks with a 7' long bed that can accommodate a motorcycle (and the extended cab was a bonus).

The second group was folks from south of the border — Mexico and Central and South America, where Toyota trucks are coveted for their ruggedness and ease of repair  (easy to work on and parts are plentiful and easy to obtain). I was told by these folks that the 1987 22R engine was especially sought after because it was the last engine made by Toyota with a carburetor before they adopted fuel injected engines — and the engines with carburetors are easier to work on and more reliable (22R engines run forever!).
