Rancho Mondo prefers to point you to various sources on the web for most download items. However, we do offer some original material, and sometimes have other items on our server for easier access. download tutorialHere's a short download tutorial. If you know all this, skip on down to the midi file download table. You know that when you left click on a link your browser acts on the contents of the link. If it's a web address, well then, off you go. If it's a file with an extension the browser recognizes (either from inherent default settings, or user installed plug-ins), the browser will display the HTML page, display the image, play the music, or open the application. If the file extension is something else, the browser will offer a file dialog box asking what you want to do with the file; open it, or save it to disk. This works fine for a text (.txt) file or such. But if you wanted to download say, a midi file (.mid), your browser recognizes that extension and opens up your media player to play it. |

That's where your right mouse button comes into use. Right clicking on a link brings up a menu which allows you to perform a variety of actions. You can open the link; if it's a file your system recognizes it will open. You can also save the file. Select "save target as ..." in Microsoft Internet Explorer or "save link as ..." in Netscape. If the link is an image file (.jpg or .gif), Internet Explorer will offer to "save picture as ...". midi filesAfter the deluge of inquiries (well, two actually), as to the midi selections on the rancho mondo site, I've decided to offer a small selection of some of my favorite midi files for your listening enjoyment. I find these enjoyable, even after repeated listening, and hope you do too. Remember; left click to listen, right click to save. (midi credits) |
You can also download the entire midi collection (177K) in one zip file if you like. | |||||||||||||||||

Here are a few calculators, and other small utilities, that I find useful. They are all Java and JavaScript, and so require that you have Java enabled in your browser. (credits) |
