Cape Cod Sleigh Bed

Bending, veneering, carving, turning, and inlay — there is a little of everything going on in this king size sleigh bed intended for a home on the Atlantic coast. The curving head and footboard panels are veneered with Brazilian rosewood and the solid wood panels are cocobolo, all surrounded by a delicate bead of wenge. Frames and serpentine corner posts are genuine mahogany. The beautifully detailed shell and seahorse carvings were executed by Austin, Texas artist Chas Chapot. This is a nice bed, mama.
