Turtle

This Three-toed Box turtle is hand-painted on a small Dipper Gourd with various coloring pens. It also employs a process whereby the pigment is scratched off to reveal the design. Upon completion, all gourds are given a seal coat, then finished with a lacquer to give a durable finish.
All of the turtles are based on actual turtles, and have the coloring and markings of the indicated species (labeled on bottom of turtle).
These turtle gourds have the seeds in them, and make excellent rattles. They are sturdy, however are not toys, and should not be given to unsupervised children.
