laminate covered kitchen
This shows portions of an entirely (all exterior surfaces) laminate covered kitchen cabinet project. It costs a little more, but when the cabinets are laminate covered, you don't have to worry about refinishing them when the finish wears -- and cleanup is extremely easy. These cabinets were done for a cabin at Lake Brownwood that several families used, and so durability and easy cleanup were important factors.
A clean, contemporary look is achieved with overlay doors and semi-concealed hinges. Even though covered, construction throughout is birch plywood (remember, I hate particle board). You could hose down these cabinets without hurting them. I also did the laminate countertops (but no longer do on-site laminate work).
