lift-out appliance shelf
This is an example of what I mean by remodeling an area to fit your individual needs. The clients had a trash compactor that they were not using and wanted to replace with something that better fit their lifestyle. Counter space was precious (as in so many kitchens) so they decided to use a special-purpose, lift-out and lock-into-place shelf for the large commercial mixer they had.
There is an abundance of special-purpose hardware such as this for use in cabinets just about anywhere in your home (kitchen, bath, entertainment center, etc.). Determine what your needs are, and I can generally devise a method to address them.
